Vanessa joined Oceana UK as Executive Assistant in September 2026.

After graduating from the University of Sheffield with a Law degree, Vanessa began her career in London within the private sector, specialising in office management and EA roles within financial services and executive search.

Following a career break to start a family, she has spent the last decade in the education sector, most recently serving as the EA to the CEO of a prominent multi-academy trust. Having moved to Cornwall in 2019, family life now revolves largely round the beach – surfing, paddleboarding, surf-lifesaving, sea-glass hunting – and she is on a mission to explore more of the stunning Cornwall coast with her new roof-top tent! Joining Oceana is an absolute dream for Vanessa as she is able to combine her day-to-day professional skills with her personal passion for the seas.
