Making Waves at Boardmasters Festival
What a weekend! Boardmasters brought an unforgettable blend of music, surfing, and a shared passion for the ocean to the seaside town of Newquay, Cornwall. We were thrilled to be the official environmental charity partner, helping to keep our seas safe and clean.
One of the festival highlights was our beachside Q&A with big wave surfers Greg Long and Laura Crane. Their gnarly surf stories and deep thoughts on ocean protection left everyone inspired.
“How fun it would be to put this beautiful natural world at the top of the priority list and really give ourselves a fantastic, prosperous future. All change is a shift in consciousness, and it can happen so fast.” —Greg Long
“The ocean has saved me from my own mind many times, as well as keeping us all alive on this planet. We all have a responsibility to protect it.” —Laura Crane
Afterwards, we hit the festival to chat to people about ocean issues, and rolled up our sleeves for a beach clean to help keep our coastlines pristine. This year, Boardmasters made strides in reducing its environmental impact, including a total ban on single-use plastics and organising daily beach cleans that kept our shores looking their best.
Looking ahead, we’re excited to keep the momentum going with Boardmasters and make an even bigger splash for ocean protection. With their support, we’re ready to spread the word in the music festival space, and drive real change for our seas.
